superwhisper promo codes and discounts: what its own docs offer

By · Published

superwhisper's own discount is 40 percent off for verified students, educators, academic institutions and nonprofits, on plans bought at superwhisper.com. You ask for it by email before you buy. I have no promo code to hand out, and I will not copy one from a coupon site that I cannot check.

I make YapToText, a free dictation app, which is a different way to pay less. The superwhisper facts here are from its Plans and Pricing and subscription pages, read on October 9, 2026.

Download YapToText on the Mac App StoreThis app is completely free. You don't have to make an account. There are no subscriptions, no difficult downloads, and nothing is locked. Made for Apple silicon Macs. Source on GitHub.

The discounts superwhisper describes

  • Students and educators. 40 percent off the list price for verified students, faculty and academic institutions.
  • Nonprofits. 40 percent off for verified nonprofit and charitable organizations.
  • How to ask. Email [email protected] from your academic or organization address with proof of status.
  • Ask first. Verification happens before the discount, so request it before you purchase.

The discount covers Monthly, Annual and Lifetime bought on superwhisper.com, and not App Store purchases. The docs also say it cannot be stacked with other discounts or applied to charges already made.

Ways to pay less without a code

  • Buy on the website. The docs call superwhisper.com the lower price, because App Store and Google Play prices include the stores' fees.
  • Pay yearly. $84.99 a year is about 17 percent less than $8.49 a month.
  • Pay once. Lifetime is $249.99. Against the yearly price it pays for itself in about three years.
  • Try Pro first. New users get 3,000 words of free Pro access before the app falls back to the free plan.
  • Use the refund window. Every individual plan has a 30-day refund window from the first purchase.

Lifetime deals and Black Friday

People search for superwhisper lifetime deals and Black Friday codes. The only lifetime option in its docs is the $249.99 Lifetime plan. I found no seasonal sale on its pages on October 9, 2026, and I will not guess at one. If superwhisper runs a sale, its own site is where it will be.

Or pay nothing

superwhisper's free plan is real: unlimited dictation with local Whisper models, up to two modes, no AI formatting. YapToText goes further for free on an Apple silicon Mac.

  • Formatting included. Auto mode cleans up each dictation with a model on the Mac, with nothing to buy.
  • Voice editing included. Quick Edit rewrites selected text from a spoken instruction.
  • Files included. It transcribes audio and video files, which is a Pro feature in superwhisper.
  • The trade. It has no Windows or phone app, fewer languages and no meeting features.

The superwhisper pricing page compares every plan, and the list of free dictation apps has the other free choices.

The short version

  • Real discount. 40 percent off for students, educators and nonprofits, by email, before you buy, on the website.
  • No public code. I found none on superwhisper's pages and will not repeat unverified ones.
  • Cheaper without a code. Buy on the website, pay yearly, or pay once.
  • Free. superwhisper's free plan, or YapToText with formatting included.

If superwhisper changes its discounts and this page is behind, open an issue on GitHub. Every one gets read.
