Typeless promo codes, referral credit and the student discount
By Ryleigh Newman · Published
Typeless has two discounts of its own: 50 percent off Pro for verified students, and $5 of Pro credit when you sign up through a friend's referral link. Both apply only to plans bought through desktop checkout, not the App Store or Google Play. I found no public promo code on typeless.com, and I will not pass on one I cannot check.
I make YapToText, a free dictation app for the Mac, so I would rather you paid nothing at all. Everything about Typeless here is from its pricing, students, referral and affiliate pages, read on October 9, 2026.
This app is completely free. You don't have to make an account. There are no subscriptions, no difficult downloads, and nothing is locked. Made for Apple silicon Macs. Source on GitHub.

Every way Typeless lowers the price
From typeless.com, read October 9, 2026. Prices per member, in US dollars.

| Referral link | $5 of Pro credit for you, and $5 for the friend who sent it once you dictate 2,000 words | Individual plans only, desktop checkout only. |
| Paying yearly | Pro at $12 a month instead of $30 | Billed once a year. |
| University bulk license | A discount for a whole school | Arranged by email with Typeless. |
Promo codes, invite codes and lifetime deals
- Promo and coupon codes. Typeless's own pages list none. The one coupon code it describes is the 50 percent student code it emails after verifying you.
- Invite codes. What people share is usually a referral link, which gives the new user $5 of Pro credit.
- Affiliate links. Typeless pays affiliates 25 percent of a referred subscriber's first year, so a code on a coupon site may be an affiliate link rather than a discount.
- Lifetime deals. Typeless lists Free, Pro and Enterprise, and no lifetime plan, on October 9, 2026.
The biggest saving Typeless offers anyone is billing yearly, which cuts Pro from $30 to $12 a month.
Free before you pay
Every new account starts on the Free plan, with limited words each week, standard accuracy and standard access during high demand. The Typeless pricing page has the weekly number as it stood on October 5, 2026, and what Pro adds.
To leave Pro later, the pricing FAQ says to open the Account page in the Typeless app and use Subscription.
Or skip the subscription
YapToText is free on Apple silicon Macs, with no word limit and no account. The speech model and the cleanup model both run on the Mac, so nothing is sent to a server.
- What you keep. Dictation into any app, cleanup of filler words, and editing selected text by voice.
- What you give up. Typeless's Windows, Linux and phone apps, its translation and Ask anything features, and its 100 plus languages. YapToText has 29 plus auto-detect.
This app is completely free. You don't have to make an account. There are no subscriptions, no difficult downloads, and nothing is locked. Made for Apple silicon Macs. Source on GitHub.
The Typeless alternative page compares the two in full, and the Typeless privacy page covers where your voice goes.
